Quality papers and specialty processes

Ikon uses distinctive materials and specialty processes. Our designer will work with you to choose the materials that best suit the design of your work, and fit within your budget. With Ikon, your book will be one of a kind.

Hard or Soft Covers
Our award-winning bindery can work with a variety of materials for hard or soft covers, including leather, vinyl, cloth, papers and plastics. We will help you choose the right look for your book.

Paper Stocks
Subtle differences in color, from warm creams to bright whites, can change the look of a finished book. Unusual colors and textures can add to an enjoyable reading experience. Distinctive elements, such as transparencies, interior photo pages, and fly sheets can add depth to a project.

Flaps,  Die-Cuts and Embossing
Soft-cover flaps give finished books a rich and professional look, while providing space for quotations and author notes so the cover can stay clean. Die-cuts and embossing are often fitting to a particular design.

Varnishes and UV Coats
Instead of low-quality cover-stock with lamination that will eventually yellow and peel, UV coating adds a smooth matte or satin finish for durability. Handled correctly, spot or gloss varnishes can add life to a cover design.
